This document explains how recipients can sign an E-Signature request received via LegalOn Sign (powered by Adobe Acrobat Sign) on or after October 1, 2026.

Review and Sign the Document

1. Open the signature request email

Open the following email from your inbox and click “Review and Sign” in the body of the message.

  • Subject:

    • [Signature Request] {Request Summary Set by Sender}

    • [Signature Delegation] “{Request summary set by the sender}” to {Email address of the delegating party} (*)

(*) This is the email sent to the delegate as part of the “Delegate Signature to Another User ” procedure.

2. Review the Terms of Use

The signature screen will open in your browser. If you are asked to agree to the terms of use or to consent to the disclosure of information to consumers, review the details and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Review the document and sign it

3-1. Enter the Required Information

Review the entire document, click each field, and enter the required information. Click the arrows on the navigation bar to move to the fields that require input. If the number of remaining required fields is displayed, continue entering information to reduce the count to 0.

If there are multiple documents or input fields

  • If multiple documents are included in a set, use the document icon and up/down arrows on the toolbar on the right side of the screen to review all files in sequence.

  • Input fields are defined by the sender (the party requesting the signature). Field types include text, checkboxes, dates, and signature types; required fields are counted toward the total number of remaining items.

  • You may only enter data in the fields assigned to you. Even on pages with none of the direct input fields, be sure to review All pages.

4. Complete the signature

After filling in all required fields and any optional fields as needed, click “Send” at the bottom of the screen.

Important Note

Once you click the “Submit” button, the signing process will proceed. Please double-check the document content, your entries, and the signature location before clicking the button.

Additional Information

  • If the “Customize” banner is displayed, agree to the cookie settings and then select “Submit.”

  • Once the signature is complete, you may be redirected to a screen like the one shown below; however, no settings or actions are required on this screen. Please close the window and wait for the contract execution completion email.


    Please note that if you click "Confirm and Sign" again in the signature request email after signing is complete, the following message will be displayed.

5. Check the Contract Execution Confirmation Email

Once all parties involved have completed their actions, the following contract completion email will be transmitted to all signers and viewers.

The signed PDF fileand audit report (certificate of completion) are attached to this completion notification email, so please keep them in a safe place.


Save the Signed PDF and Audit Report

Please save the file using one of the following methods.

  • Save the signed PDF file attached to the contract completion email.

  • Click “Open Contract” in the contract completion email to open the document, then Select “Download PDF.”

Important Note

If there are multiple documents, each file will be downloaded individually. Bulk downloads combining multiple PDF files are not supported.

Save the Audit Report

After Execution

The audit report records the history of actions such as transmission, viewing, and signing. Please save it using one of the following methods.

  • Save the audit report attached to the contract completion email.

  • (For Adobe account holders only) Click “Open Contract” in the completion email to open the document, then Select “Download Audit Report.”

Important Note

Selecting “Download Audit Report” will display a login screen. Please note that you must log in to your Adobe Account to download the report.

Before Contract Execution

On the signature screen, click “Options” > “Display Document History” to open the Web Viewer, then Download or print the document.


Changing the Display Language on the Signing Screen

You can change the language of buttons, menus, and instructions on the signature screen to one that is easier for the recipient to read.

Select the globe icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the language you want to display.

*Note: Changing the language will cause the " 2. Review Terms of Use " prompt to reappear.

Important Notes

Translation applies only to the System text and interface on the signature screen. Contract files, contract titles, sender messages, and field contents are not translated.


Delegating the Signature to Another Representative

If you are not the appropriate signatory, do not sign; instead, transfer the signing permissions to another representative.

1. Begin the delegation process

Open the signature screen. If you are delegating directly from the signature request email, click “Delegate” under “You can choose not to sign and delegate instead” at the bottom of the email, then proceed to Step 3.

2. Open the delegation screen

Click “Options” > “Delegate Signature to Another User” in the upper-right corner of the screen.

3. Enter the delegatee’s information and execute the delegation

Enter the email address and message, then click “Delegate.”

The following signature request will be transmitted to the new signer:

  • Subject: [Signature Delegation] “{Summary of the request set by the sender}” to {Email address of the delegator}


Decline the signature request

If you do not agree with the terms of the contract or if there are any errors, explain your reason and cancel the signature request.

Important Note

If you decline, the signature request will be canceled, and the signature process cannot be reactivated. The sender will need to create a new signature request.

1. Open the “Decline Signature” screen

Click “Options” > “Decline Signature” in the upper-right corner of the signature screen.

2. Enter the reason for declining

Enter a reason for declining, then click "Disagree" to complete the decline.

The following email regarding the withdrawal of your signature will be transmitted to all signers and reviewers:

  • Subject: The contract exchange for {Request Summary set by the sender} has been canceled

Q. Can I specify the font style for a signature entered using the "Keyboard"?

A. No, you cannot. Fonts are automatically applied in order from the standard Adobe Acrobat Sign signature fonts.

If you wish to customize the font style of your signature, please prepare a signature image in advance. In the steps “Review and Sign the Document > 3. Review and Sign the Document > 3-3. Create and Apply a Signature,” select “Image” and upload your signature image.
